Ryan Amberg, the general manager of FELCO North America has been honored for his lifelong commitment to the horticultural industry.
Ryan was raised in his family’s apple nursery, which entailed helping at a young age. That's when he was first introduced to FELCO, and their iconic red handles. His knowledge of the industry only expanded as he went to Cornell University, the Ivy League school known for its top-ranked agricultural programs. He has sat on the Young Farmers and Ranchers National Committee of the Farm Bureau, and also working as a liaison to Canadian growers. A recent move has led Ryan to settle down in Western New York, working alongside his family's business, Amberg’s Horticultural Tools and Supply.
Ryan’s work with FELCO has brought him all over the world to develop markets. His hard work, incomparable knowledge, and dedication to FELCO has earned him a spot on this year's Fruit & Vegetable 40 under 40. This list encapsulates the best of the industry, from winemakers to Presidents of agricultural companies. These outstanding individuals will be honored at the Great Lakes Fruit, Vegetable, and Farm Market EXPO in Grand Rapids, Michigan on December 6th, 2022.
